This page says what Tile RPG keeps about you, why, and what you can ask us to do with it.
What we keep
- Your account: your email address, a scrambled form (hash) of your password, and when you made the account. We never see or keep your password itself.
- Your characters: names, levels, skills, items and everything else the game needs to remember them.
- What you post: forum posts and guild descriptions.
- Connection records: the IP address you log in from and the time, kept to protect accounts and stop cheating and abuse.
- Recent visits: the IP address, browser and last page of each visitor to this website, kept for 10 minutes after their last page so we can see how many people are on the site.
Cookies
This website sets one cookie, which keeps you logged in while you browse. There are no advertising or tracking cookies and no analytics.
Who sees it
Character names, levels, guilds and forum posts are public on this website. The rest is seen only by the team running the game. We don't sell your data or share it with advertisers.
The game and this website run on Amazon Web Services in the United States, which stores the data for us.
How long we keep it
We keep your account for as long as it exists. When an account is deleted, its characters go with it. Connection records are kept only as long as we need them to deal with abuse.
Your choices
You can change your email address and password from your account. To get a copy of your data, correct it, or have your account deleted, post in the Help board on the forum.
Changes
If this changes, we'll post it in the news.
